The result of more than 20 years of continuous advancement, Vasoview Hemopro 2 is the latest generation of Vasoview simultaneous cut-and-seal technology for Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH).

An embodiment of the Getinge commitment to highly refined technology and robust design, Vasoview Hemopro 2 virtually eliminates thermal spread and helps harvesters safely acquire high-quality conduits for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

Client and Goals

Getinge has contributed to clinical progress in the field of cardiology. With acquisitions such as Datascope, Atrium and the Cardiac Surgery and Vascular Surgery divisions of Boston Scientific Corporation, Getinge now covers all needs in the operating room.
Since its listing in 1993, Getinge sales have grown continuously, achieved through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions. Getinge is a leader in its chosen business segments, which focus on Acute Care Therapies, Life Science and Surgical Workflows.

Challenges

Creating Vasoview posed unique challenges for Spinnov, Getinge, and Games For Health. Simulating Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting in a videogame required precise integration of hardware and software. Ensuring realistic haptic feedback and sensor accuracy in a digital environment mirrored real-life intricacies. Aligning medical accuracy with engaging gameplay demanded a delicate balance. Overcoming these challenges, the collaborative effort resulted in an innovative training tool that allows trainees to practice crucial medical procedures in a risk-free, immersive, and technologically advanced virtual environment.

SPINNOV’s Role

Spinnov assumed a central role in the collaborative venture with Getinge and Games For Health to develop Vasoview, a groundbreaking videogame for Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting training. Responsible for the technological backbone, Spinnov expertly crafted the hardware system, featuring a console equipped with numerous sensors and a specialized Vasoview controller. Their expertise in electronic design and seamless integration played a vital role in bringing this innovative medical training tool to life, providing a realistic and immersive digital platform for trainees.

Now, over 150 healthcare providers rely on Tessa daily, leading to a reduction of 4 to 8 hours in physical care per client per month.
